These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Agreement”) govern your use of the website meddigest.co.uk (“Website”, “Site”, “Service”) operated by MedDigest LTD. Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our Website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the Website or use any services.  
1. Definitions
  • “Content”: Refers to all text, summaries, fictional clinical cases, marking schemes, audio recordings, graphics, images, data, and other materials available on the Website.

  • “User”, “You”, “Your”: Refers to any individual accessing or using the Website.

  • “Member”: Refers to a User who has registered an account on the Website.

  • “Subscription”: Refers to the paid access plan granting Members access to premium features or Content.

2: Acceptance of Terms
  • By creating an Account, purchasing a Subscription, or simply accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not accept this Agreement and may not use the Service.
3: Eligibility
  • You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account or purchase a Subscription. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
4: Account Registration and Security
  • To access certain features, you need to register for an account (“Account”).
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any other credentials used to access your Account. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.
  • Your membership is for your personal, individual use only. You must not share your login details or allow multiple users to access the Website using your single account.
  • You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your Account at [enquiries@meddigest.co.uk] .
5: Subscriptions & Payments
  • Tiers: We may offer different access levels, potentially including a free tier with limited access and paid Subscription tiers (“Premium”) with enhanced features or content access. Details of current tiers and features will be available on the Website.
  • Billing: For Premium Subscriptions, you agree to provide accurate and complete billing information. You authorise us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge your designated payment method for the Subscription fee at the rates then in effect.
  • Automatic Renewal: Unless otherwise specified, Premium Subscriptions will automatically renew for successive periods equivalent to the initial subscription term (e.g., monthly) at the then-current non-promotional rate. You authorise us to charge your payment method for the renewal fee unless you cancel your Subscription before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your Premium Subscription at any time through your “My Account” / “Dashboard” section on the Website. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds or credits will be provided for partial subscription periods or unused time, unless required by law.
  • Fee Changes: We reserve the right to change Subscription fees upon reasonable notice (e.g. 30 days). Fee changes will apply to the next billing cycle following the notice period. Your continued use of the Subscription after the fee change constitutes your agreement to pay the modified fee.
6: Intellectual Property Rights
  • Ownership: All Content on the Website, including but not limited to guideline summaries, fictional clinical cases (SCA cases), marking schemes, text, graphics, logos, and audio recordings is the property of MedDigest LTD and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
  • Limited License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Website and its Content solely for your personal, non-commercial, informational purposes.
  • Restrictions: You agree not to: Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, distribute, or otherwise exploit any Content for any commercial purpose without our express written permission.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the Website or Content.
    Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained on the Website or in the Content.
  • Use any data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data gathering or extraction methods.
  • Use any Content to train large language models (LLMs), artificial intelligence systems, or machine learning algorithms.
7:Acceptable Use

Educational Purpose Only (Fictional Cases) The Content on MedDigest (including all SCA consultation cases and marking schemes) is a fictional resource created solely for educational and exam revision purposes. It is not a record of real clinical care. It must not be used for clinical decision-making or as a substitute for your own professional judgment.

8.2. No Official Affiliation & Trademark Notice This resource is an independent educational tool designed by MedDigest LTD. It has not been produced, reviewed, or endorsed by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), NICE, or any other regulatory body.

  • “MRCGP” and “SCA” are trademarks of the RCGP; their use on this Website is for descriptive purposes only to indicate the exam format.

  • MedDigest LTD is not affiliated with the RCGP.

8.3. Guideline Currency & Accuracy Medicine is constantly evolving. While this content is informed by national guidelines (e.g., NICE) current at the time of writing, it is the user’s personal responsibility to verify the latest official guidance and local protocols before applying knowledge in exams or practice. MedDigest LTD makes no warranty regarding the completeness or immediate currency of the information.

8.4. No Liability for Exam Failure or Career Progression MedDigest LTD makes no guarantee regarding examination performance or results. We accept no liability for failure in the MRCGP SCA exam, loss of earnings, or career progression resulting from the use of these materials.

8.5. No Medical Advice We do not provide medical advice. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition or treatment options. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or heard on this Website.

8.6. Website Availability We do not guarantee that the Website, or any Content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons.

8.7. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall MedDigest LTD, its affiliates, directors, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) Any content obtained from the Service; (iv) Any injury or clinical error resulting from reliance on the information contained herein; (v) Unauthorised access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.

8.8. Aggregate Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount of Subscription fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

8.9. Consumer Rights This section does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9: Privacy and Data Protection

  • All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
14: Governing Law and Jurisdiction
  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
  • You agree that any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15: Miscellaneous
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.  
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.  
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
